The cable that links the gateway (pstn simulator) to the appliance needs to have 4 pins and not 8. If you use a 8 pin cable, you might damage your devices and you will not be able to call your FXS ports because they will be linked as well.

Even though we use the bridge to duplicate the FXS ports on connectors 3 and 4, connectors 1 and 2 still have BRI and FXS ports. Therefore, using a 4 pin cable, you only link the BRI ports.
